  • Hi, my first post here, and I would appreciate a bit of help with the Technika player.

I am a complete novice at this, but I'll explain my problem ~

I have installed the USB cable, I hook the player up to the PC, and I download 5 songs to start me off. However, only ONE of these songs seems to want to play (track 3). And it does this continually. I then switch to the next song with the 'mode' button at the top, and it plays nothing, switching back to the previous track and playing that yet again.

I then removed the track which keeps playing, and still the remaining four MP3s refuse to play. It is in 'Stop' mode all of the time, and there appears to be a 'N' on the display. The booklet is not entirely helpful for me.

If that made any sense to anyone, I'd appreciate some help with the thing, it is rather annoying.

    Much thanks in advance. :)

I have one of those and just plugged it in like a normal usb storage device and copied the music over to the Player and all played with no problems.

I even put them in folders to see if they still played and they did.

I used MP3 files and WMA files

Are you sure all the ones you are trying are a compatible format?

What I would say is the battery life is not too hot.

But for a tenner what do you expect.

Need to make sure they are either in wma or mp3 format inorder for them to play. As for the song continously playing you might have it on repeat play.

    Hello,

Try to play the 'non-playing' songs on your PC - Just to make sure that the file is not corrupted. Also does the file have a Mp3 or wma extension?
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Thanks for the replies,

Yes all files are certainly either MP3 or WMA. I currently have 4 files on the device, two work (one MP3 and one WMA). When the other two are selected, they move on to the other song without playing them.

They all play on the PC fine. The method I use to pop them on the device is simply right clicking the song name, and send them to the G: drive (removeable disc).

I find it very odd that not all of them work.

Edit: For some odd reason, all appears to be well now. I won't bother to question it, it just works! Thanks again. :)

Has anyone used to voice recorder function on this, in settings the following is shown :-

    Source:MIC*
    ENC:PCM or IMADPCM or MSADPCM
    Channel: Mono*
    Device: INT*
    Sample: 8000 or 11025 or 16000 or 22050 or 32000 or 44100 or 48000

Options marked * can't be changed on mine, has anyone been able to change them?

Also has anyone found any support sites for this player, is it a rebadged player?
  • To save anyone a trip - were sold out today in Tesco, Rotherham.

Will post if I see them in stock again.
  • Has anyone seen these in stock in the middlesex / surrey / London area. DD age 8 has decided she wants one but doubt there are any left anywhere. On the off chance there are any on stock I know loads of people in theses areas and hopefully can pick one up.
