Help with gas meter readings please
I moved into my flat in july, i have received one bill from the gas and electric in July. Have had nothing since then. I am paying £20 for each one direct debit every month, when should I do a meter reading and submit it. Dont know when I will be getting another bill?? very confused

There should be a phone number on that bill. You can read your meters and then phone them. Ask when you will get your next bill and if they want then you can give then the reading you have just taken.
When the bill comes it will be clearly marked that it is a CUSTOMER READING. This is much better than having an ESTIMATED bill. Which can be widely out and you could end up in debt. If you ever get an estimated bill ALWAYS phone in your own reading every time.0 -
You should get a quarterly statement so if you got one in July, you should have one in the next couple of days. You might like to ask about managing your account online - not for everybody but I'd rather do that than deal with call centres.0
