Don’t they pick the best times to go! Just about to leave the house this morning for a job interview…when I see that the kitchen and half the dinning room are covered in water.
I have come back after my interview and mopped up the water, now I just need to work out how to fit the water seal between the drum and the door fits back together.
The machine is and Ariston AWD1200 does anybody know were I might find how to put the seal back on correctly?
Thanks for your help.

Done a couple of these door seals in the past but not this particular one I'm afraid.
The fixing to the drum is normally by way of a large jubilee clip that typically has a 10mm/slot screwdriver nut to tighten. Usually a little fiddly but not too bad to fit.
The door fixing is usually a case of pulling the seal through and securing by means of a metal hoop. This is different on all machines and may involve removing a trim or two to see where the hoop is secured/tightened. You will need to do this anyway to remove the old door seal.
From memory the easiest way to fit is to connect the drum side first making sure that the seal is positioned correctly and then do the door bit.
Good luck !!PLEASE DO NOT STEAL

Is there any chance you could give Ariston a call for advice? You may just be lucky.
Many years ago I had an Indesit machine that needed a new door seal. I'd been told it shouldn't be a difficult job for me to tackle, but didn't have the faintest idea how to go about it.
I decided to phone & ask Indesit before I ordered the seal direct from them. I was told they could supply me with photocopied instructions on how to fit the seal for £1.
I felt chuffed at being able to replace the seal myself & save £30 on the service engineer labour cost. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
