Wireless mouse help needed please..

Hi
I have a spare mouse for which I've lost the instructions.
I've plugged it in and the computer says it's seen it and it's ready ;-)
but it's not working and I seem to remember there was a chain of button pressing to set it in th efirst place.
I wondered if anyone had teh same mouse.
Switching the base on, makes it flash and then go steady, but doing the same on the mouse doesn't work
It's a Lyromedia sn 60300313
