Define a smidgen more accommodating. You had a contract, you couldn't or wouldn't meet your obligations under that contract and you have not suffered excessively. You have gone for the scattergun approach of apportioning blame, it was him or him or her or him or anyone but that guy in the mirror. If buying property, renting it out and sitting back while it appreciates in value was risk free we'd all be doing it but it isn't as you have found out. Be grateful you're not bankrupt and move on.I'm proud of my advice, if others want to look I say enjoy the show!0
