Good Garage Guide?

Hi,
Apologies in advance as I'm sure this must be somewhere on the MSE site or on the forum, but I can't find it. Is there a section on recommendations for where to get honest car repairs (broken down by geographical region) on the MSE site/forum?
After a quick internet search for 'good garage guide' I came across this article from autoexpress which although a year old, makes interesting reading:

Having just moved, I haven't got a trusted mechanic and don't want to be left to the perils of randomly selecting a garage from the yellow pages.

A good garage that I have used is listed here www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk and gave me the relevent info to submit my own rating to the website.

You can search by location or postcode.

Having just entered my Staffordshire postcode into their search within a 20 mile radius they offered one result in Dumfries.:rolleyes:
That doesn't particularly inspire much confidence.
However, entering into here http://www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk/index.html reveals 50 within a 20 mile radius!:D

I can recommend a great honest, reliable, reasonably priced mechanic in mid Staffordshire if you need 1. If so PM me.

I just tried that goodgaragescheme out of interest.........

Didn't come up with where I work (and we are wonderful ), but in fairness it came up with some good ones and some I definitely know are awful...........!!!!!!

Word of mouth OP - you can't beat word of mouth!

I have seen that good garage website. Look on some of them at the dates of the reviews and style of writing and you can just tell there's someone working in that garage sat there giving themselves good reviews.
