Cheapest phone&broadband with BT line rental

Hello,
Having just moved into a new house I am keen to set up the cheapest possible arrangements for a home phone and broadband.

I already have BT line rental (with their free tariff 'Unlimited Weekend plan') as I originally intended to get a package (for TV, phone and Broadband) with SKY but unfortunately SKY would charge me an extra £17 a month on top of their bundle package as I am out of their broadband area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Tim

Welcome to the MSE forums Timbo246.

Please click the HERE link in my signature below for ideas regarding voice telephony.

Treat broadband entirely separately (you can go to any ADSL ISP with a BT landline).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Blimey Heinz, i've just looked at your 6 steps to reducing costs and it's not easy to understand, maybe it's me :(

We're looking at renewing phone provider and broadband provider, are you saying doing it separately is better?

OK, try the cut down version instead - only 4 steps.
