I am going to apply for HSBC 0% credit card...

is it best to apply online or in branch. how long does it take to come through? my last tsb card took nearly 2 months. i now need to transfer about £4000 or £5000 on to ideally. what credit limit do they usually give? i need to pay off a day that have on halifax by 11th january so dont want to get caught out! thanks in advance.

I applied online 3 weeks ago and still haven't received the card.

I was by told HSBC yesterday that everthing is in order and that I should receive my card in about a week. Then they will process my balance transfer.

After reading YorkshireBoy's links I would apply in branch.

I applied online on 21st Nov,i had not received anything by the 2nd Dec so i rang them,they said everything was O.K,and they did the balance transfer over the phone there and then.......but since then,i have had a letter requesting security details,another asking from a payslip and utility bill,which they returned this morning with a covering letter to say they would be in touch soon to let me know the outcome of the descision???

I might ring them again soon,to see if they did the balance transfer.
