My e-mail account is currently being constanly
bombarded by an e-mail notification from one of the forums.
Obviously the operational status of my e-mail account has been greatly affected to what technically amounts to a DOS attack.
can ayone here look into it?

I have recently been under this type of bombardment also. But, I must stress it hasn't been generated from here.
I have carried out a series of queries on the IP addresses and it appears to be generated from an NTL based provider. I would guess that I had received somewhere close to 20/25 emails daily. I created a series of message rules to delete these messages from my server ..oO(This seems to be working) I have not received anymore for the past 3 days or so.......
I'll post back with the rules that I used, what e-mail client are you using?0 -
Ok the rule is as follows:
"Where the subject line contains - "delivery failed" or "illegal" or "invalid mail" or "KEY:"
Then the most important addition to this rule.
"Where the mail has - "An Attachment"
And selected the option to "Delete From Server"
Hope this helps0 -
The mail does appear to be of the standard type generated by this site but is coming from rackforce.com which is a web hoster in the States.
Not sure if this site is hosted by rackforce.com?0
