Alibi and Penguin books are giving you the chance to be immortalised as the murder victim in a short story by crime writing duo Nicci French.

To win the prize, solve the crime we present using the clues we will provide.

This money-can’t-buy prize will include a telephone interview with the authors, so the duo can work with the winner to translate their character into the story.

Question 1: What type of crime does Jessica Fletcher successfully solve in her series based in Cabot Cove?
Answer:

Question 2: The victim of the crime is a policeman. In his wallet his police badge reveals his police rank. It is the same rank as the character played by Thomas Craig in Murdoch Mysteries. What is the rank?
Answer:

Question 3: The victim's first name is the same as the surname of the screenwriter of Taggart? What is the victim’s name?
Answer:

Question 4: The crime took place in a pub that shares its name with surname of the female star of New Tricks. What is that name?
Answer:

Question 5: The perpetrator was only known by his first name, which he shares with the TV detective Shoestring. What is that name?
Answer:

All five clues must be answered. The first letter from each answer forms an anagram of the keyword. Once you have unscrambled the letters you must also submit the keyword to complete your entry to the competition.
