Halloween Panic Buying?

Options
Was in T's today between 14:30-16:00 and it was packed, the carpark, the aisles, the tills I started thinking I'd lost a day or 2 and it was Friday or Saturday. I asked the SA why it was so mad she said it was Halloween panic buying, it had apparently been like that all day it was her day off and they called her in. I know this happens at christmas which I understand perfectly, also easter and before the other bank holidays which I understand less but Halloween:confused: .
If any was Halloween panic buying today or know someone that was please tell me why you were panicked and what were your desperate purchases were.

Also guy on the next till over bought 4 full boxes (that's at least 100 tubes) of Sensodyne pro-enammel  I was consumed by curiosity and went to check was not on offer, anyone got any ideas?

I went to Tesco tonight to buy some Halloween stuff, for 2 reasons.

1 - I'm going to a party tomorrow night and needed some witch-y dress-up stuff because i won't have time after work tomorrow!

2 - It was all reduced by about half price when i went at 6pm

Not sure why anyone would need that much toothpaste though, maybe he knows something we don't

Only other thing i could think of was if he works in a hotel or something but even 100 is excessive considering.

Asda was the same today. A nightmare.

I have to wait in for deliveries today so went today instead. I thought it might have been half price as so many people were clearing the shelves (one aisle already cleared of halloween and Xmas trees in their place!! I was most disappointed to get charged full price for the halloween stuff I bought. Thought I was missing something, LOL!!

Costumes are to be expected, but it was food everyone was stockpiling like they do before a bank holiday, empty shelves and overflowing trolleys.

I thought either the toothpaste was going through till at the wrong price otherwise he spent £250+ or he was a passionate dentist and will give them to trick or treaters instead of sweets, wanted to ask him but OH growled in my ear he would go straight to the car and leave me if I did.

    Damn - I've been spotted!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Just back from Matalan, nothing reduced but it was the closest from Asda without having to fight to get out of the car park and repark in town. Asda was rammed and just a few odds and ends left. I bought an outfit for myself from Matalan and paid a shocking £25 - offset by I've got the money for it (in my mind anyway, LOL) but nothing reduced in Matalan either except sweets and parents are not letting their kids have those as they'll get enough tonight!!
