You may have had the call but I doubt , when you press the "9" on your keypad, you would pay £20 per minute. As stated above the maximum you would pay will be £1.50 a minute.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • There was another version of the 'woman in car' going round.
This time it's a delivery driver who has a package with your adress on it but not your name. When you refuse the package then he asks to use your phone to call the depot to check the address.

    The rest is predictable.
Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]

    I'm sorry to disagree, but

I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD THE CALL!

How on earth can it be a Hoax, there must be a way for these guys to make money or why would they bother  ???

I've also had the call, but i'm not actually there when i get the call, it's on my 1571 answerphone when i get home from work.

They are apparently calling everywhere now though, i received one while i was working on reception the other day, go knows where they got that phone number from!

I had won a holiday in florida, fort lauderdale, it was a recorded american voice, all I had to do was press 9.

    Which I didn't!

I get this call quite regulary, two or three times a month. Sometimes the Amercian accent is male but ive also had a female one also (pre-recorded).

My interest got the better of me, i pressed 9...

It connected me to a call centre to a gentleman with a very thick Indian accent who was asking for my details etc.
Obviously thats the bit where i put the phone down.

That was a few months ago, i havn't had my parents moaning about any massive bills or anything irregular on the phone bill at all.

This is not a hoax , although there is a common misconception that by pressing 9 you are in someway accepting connection to a premium rate line.
