Hi All
I have been reading threads on here for quite a while and have managed to sort out my debts through all the help and advice given out (which i have pinched!!) to other people.
I am currently in a position where i have a manageable debt and my mortgage, have done soa etc on my own and brought everything possible down, may even have enough self control for new years resolution which is to start a rainy day savings account !!
Anyway, thanks for all the advice, albeit not given directly for me, I plan to stick around and carry on picking up hints and tips and other new years resolution is to log onto this site every day so that i keep up the good work.
I think you are all amazing and some of the stories are really heartwarming !!

Welcome!
Good for you that you have been able to realise how to deal with your debt before it gets out of control. If only I could have done that...
Good luck with it!I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. Hi msm
Welcome to the boards. It is great to hear that you have already made use of the info on here.
Grab a cup of tea and stick around. I am sure that as an ex lurker you know the deal by now:
-daily chat thread for, err, chat, as is night owls.
-Challenges are great for getting you motivated (I am not even sure how many I am part of now
) and
-if you want to keep track then do a diary and we an all come and play on it (especially if you are braver than I have ever been and post a SOA)
Anyway, I am waffling on and only meant to say hello £34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Join us on the 100 day challenge (probaby on page two or three today) some people have joined later and are doing it until xmas when the rest of us finish.
You have to nominate things that you usually buy but that you won't buy until after xmas. There are lots of people doing toiletries, chocolate, cake etc etc. depends what your spending weaknesses are (if you have any)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
