Is your flight direct to JFK?

Continental fly direct from Glasgow to Newark.
I ask because it is very common for friendly airlines to share flights so whilst you have a BA flight number, the actual plane may be a partner airline, but it won't be Virgin Atlantic ;)
A classic example is Air France and Lufthansa. You can easily have AF tickets but the actual carrier is Lufthansa.

If you have paid in full, ebookers should have given you an airline locator reference.

The OP has stated that they are flying Glasgow-Thiefrow-JFK with BA, so it is likely that the Thiefrow to JFK leg is with American Airlines.

With regard to Air France codesharing with Lufthansa ..... That's a new one on me? :)

It won't be a codeshare with AA as BA don't codeshare with AA on transatlantic routes.

Quite simply the OP has booked GLA-LHR-JFK with BA and needs the BA booking reference.

Call BA on 0844 493 0787 and just ask for the booking reference as the travel agent hasn't given it to you, which travel agents are awful for by the way.

You'll need the booking reference to Check in online or at a check in kiosk at GLA as it isn't possible to check in with a person on BA. (you need a boarding pass before you can go to a bag drop desk which of course have people manning them.)
  • You can't book seats in advance with BA now only when you check in unless you have gold card or similar

Once you have got your six-character booking reference from Ebookers (something random like AB12WE or 12RTYG), you'll be able to use that to check in on ba.com 24 hours before departure of your first flight (i.e. Glasgow to Heathrow). It's definitely worth checking in online as you'll have a far better choice of seats than when you get to the airport.
