Is Car Check a good service?

My first post, I hope this is an OK place to ask - has anyone used Car Check http://www.carcheck.co.uk If I want to buy a used car and check the history is this an OK way to do it? I got a special offer promotion with a discount price offer. Anyone got any experience of this service? I know the AA and RAC do something like this too. Are they better? Thanks.

I don't trust them, a lot of those sites are incorrect. Ive used things like that before and so have friends and theyve turned out to be wrong. I had a bit of an angry buyer tell me my beloved Golf used to be blue, i knew it had never had a respray, it was the online check he used.

Theres a text service that you can use as well but ive no idea of the number to use etc

Going by previous replies,if you're worried in any way,I would go for HPI and bite the bullet on the cost.
