I used Cashback King to take out a Buildings and Contents Insurance Policy with E Sure, which should have earned me £75, but today have logged on to Cashback King to find that my cash back has been rejected!

I initially followed a guide on www.moneysavingexpert.com advising the best way to make use of the main comparison websites to ensure that you get the lowest insurance premium, which was E-Sure.

I then accessed Cashback King using Safari Web Browser, (which i only use for Cashback King and is set up so that all cookies are deleted and set up so that all tracking works)

I used the Cashback King link to E Sure, filled in a new form to get a new quote, and then purchased the policy.

The tracking worked, although on my Cashback King account it only showed £35 (the cashback that you should be awarded for taking out Building OR contents insurance) so i filled in a Cashback King query form with all the requested details in order to get the full £75 that is being advertised

But now i find that my cash back has been rejected! Surely this can't be right, as E-sure are effectively 'false advertising' as a means to attract new customers! I'm now over 2 months into my policy!

What can i do now? Can i report them to anyone for unfair trading?

Why did they reject it when it first tracked ok?

Can't you take it up with the cashback site and ask them to sort it for you?

There's no-one you can report them to, as the cashback sites all have watertight ts + cs which protect them from paying you if they don't get paid, and cashbackkings make you agree not to contact the retailer over any problem.
  • No cashback is ever guaranteed. It's annoying but that's the risk you take. As Quentin has said, there is no-one to report them to.
