Help with car on Finance

Hi just wondering if anyone knew how choosey HP companies are on giving car finance, i'd like some advice before i go ahead and apply as i've haven't got a particularly squeeky clean credit file!

    Not much luck for you. Probably "Yes Car" type outfit might help out, but they will screw you in the car price, part X and interest rates :eek:
    I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.

    Why don't you just buy an old car with an MOT and tax for less than £500 and insure it 3rd party?

    I'm not strapped for cash, i've got a car i own outright which is worth about 2.5k, just looking to find money to get a better one.

    I earn £1300 a month, my total outgoings only come to £300

    So if you really wanted to, you could be debt free in about 7 or 8 months and then by this time next year have about £5,000 to spend on a car, or a cleaner credit record having paid off debts and so access to better deals?
