Do we have to update our will?

I have just been reading another thread about a will and it has got me thinking.
Many years ago when our children were little we made a will which stated that after leaving things to each other we wanted everything to be split evenly between our two children.
Our biggest worry was if we died together (car accident for example.) We stated that our inlaws would have custody and a lump sum would go to them to help raise the children and that a smaller lump sum would go to my mum.
Fortunatley we are all still here and both kids are now over 18 . Does this make our will invalid or confusing?
Any advice

They don't need looking after anymore, does the will say something about until aged 18?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Do you still want the lump sums to go to your respective parents (are they still alive?) - this suggests that the will may not now reflect your current wishes (not withstanding the kids being over 18) - if that's the case it may be worth changing it now to reflect the fact that the kids are adults especially as there may be grandchildren to factor in before too long.Adventure before Dementia!0

Was the lump sum dependent on them having the children? If not, then they will still get the money.0
