Standard Life not offering rates to existing customers?

Coming out of 2 yr discounted variable rate on £150K mortgage in Dec with Standard Life so just rang them up as haven't heard from them and was told they are not offering any new rates/deals to existing customers at all?
Have to take or leave the increase once discount has expired!
Sounds really strange to me as when previous rate was up 2 yrs ago they sent out different offers to us inorder to keep our business.
Anyone experienced the same thing or know anything about it as I'm gobsmacked? Thanks
