Lol, if you look at your typing it is apparent that keys adjacent to some of the ones you are pressing are also been activated at the same time. This will be due to the sugar in the coffee, you do take sugar don't you . The keyboard on a laptop is pretty simple to remove, and if it is the membrane type, which it almost certainly is, you can actually rinse it with running water. If you do this though ensure you don't get the connector that plugs into the mainboard wet, and leave the keybaord to dry naturally for a good few hours. Alternatively get a cheap USB keyboard as previously suggested.

Could be that the coffee has got into the mainboard connector causing it to arc. If you feel confident enough to remove the keyboard clean the ribbon cable contacts and the motherboard connector with some contact cleaner.

ok-using my sons computer at the momemt-all that deleting letters was driving me mad.

I know i have to try to clean it-it just seems a big job.One of the keys has already fallen off previously,sighs-i could slap my OH,he handed me a cup of coffee that was brimming over,..stomps off.
