I saw an advert in The Sun yesterday for a Lloyds Allergy Reliever which has £45 off and is £14.99!!

This looks to me like it is similar to Medinose but an awful lot cheaper (~£60ish). I've tried to look at the lloyds website to get some more info but its not on there.

Anyone seen it or know anything about it? I've hung off getting the medinose because of the price! :D

I have a medinose and it is fantastic. I got it off ebay. I wouldn't mess about with the Lloyds one. At least you know the medinose works.

oh well too late as I found one in the local lloyds pharmacy in my lunch hour, so will see how it goes. Its does seem similar, have had the probes up my nose already and been laughed at at work! :rotfl:

I would be very interested to hear how you found this.
After reading your post i researched it as well but couldn't find anything advertised, though did see the Stop Snoring Device reduced to £9.99.
Thus i went to my local Lloyds, but they didn't know what I was on about with the Allergy Reliever and suggested i try a larger store, though i did pick up the Stop Snoring Device which will please the OH - If it works that is?

I will let you know how it goes. It certainly seems easy enough to use. My nearest lloyds is a tiny branch. I took in the advert I saw in the Sun to show them and didn't really expect them to have it. They got it out the back as had only just arrived and hadn't been put out yet so your branch may be get some soon.

Good luck with the snoring! :D
  • Sorry to take off the subject of Lloyds BUT on the subject of stopping snoring Poundland have 'Snore Free' - a U shaped nose clip with rare earth magnets.
We bought as thought for £1 we haven't much to lose - it works a treat!

Bit strange at 1st but within 30mins. you forget you have it on/in.
Within a few days we were both non snorers, initially it seemed to cut off the 'top notes' of the snore but after a couple of days we both had peaceful nights. Used for about 2 weeks & then left off for a couple of months - no snoring. You may start to snore again but just using for a few nights means you're snore free again. We purchased a year ago & has got to be the best £2 we ever spent.

Many Thanks for this - i will have a look this weekend.
Itried the stop snoring kit last night - all it does is send an electric pulse on your wrist when noise levels exceed 55db - although i had it on full impulse, my OH said i didn't stop snoring - though my hand and fingers were twitching lol.
I have seen a spec about this, who stuck a camera through my nose and down my throat and concluded its probably allergy related - hence the need to try that allergy reliever as no other medication seems to be working.
I'm also waiting for my sleep study, as there is a possibility i could have sleep apnea - but anything in the meantime to help my OH I will try :o
  • We bought the Lloyds Allergy reliever in our small Lloyds. They didn't have on display either - the one girl had no idea what I was talking about but asked the other assistant & she said they'd had something in on Tuesday that might be it. Came out of stockroom with it - said they'd had them in, no info with it so they didn't know if it should go out on shop floor or not.

It scanned so they sold it me - might be worth asking them to check their stockroom as you've been told all Lloyds should have them.

Hubby was starting to suffer BUT just one use seems to have taken the worst away - we're hopeful.

Saintscouple - hope it works for you - we've given loads away to friends & had good feedback. It'll probably be hanging up by medications etc. 'Apolia' Snore Free on blue /white card backing about A5 size. The watch type electric pulse things - waste of money for us & we bought more expensive ones. Agree totally with the twitching, it's supposed to make you turn over but it sometimes used to wake me when it shot up my arm, it certainly didn't make me turn over. lol

Hubby also had the tests for sleep apnea as he stops breathing for seems like many minutes - it's really frightening & he's really loud when he starts up again which seems like every 2 mins. or so. Trouble is we had to wait until well out of allergy season before they tested him. We told them he had no probs. at the time but they just ignored that fact. I'm sure if they had tested him in allergy season he'd have come up positive. However it's not a great thing to have on your medical records as they could take away your driving licence - many apneas often fall asleep during the day too.

Hope the 2 together will help you - we've got fingers crossed.
