Hiya, I am not sure if anyone can help but would be extremely greatful if there is anyone out there with any information.
My grandfather died quite a number of years ago. We know he put a considerable amount of money into an insurance/assurance policy.
After a burgulary at my grandfathers house just after his death (but before the funeral) all of his paperwork was stolen.
The only lead we have in tracing my grandfathers money is that he use to receive a statement every year (around about October time), this was in a little brown envelope with a building as the logo. These statements came from 1952 to 1973.
My father thinks this logo was from the Liverpool Victoria but they say this isn't their logo!!
Kindest Regards
Lynsey

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
My father says it wasn't the Liver Building because this has the birds on the top. This one has a clock tower and a flag.
Hope you can help me further.
Thanks again

More ideas:
Norwich Union - an obvious one but their logo used to be a CHURCH tower.
Royal Exchange Assurance - now part of AXA and previously GRE, their old logo appears to be a large buidling with a central clock tower with flagpole on top? (ie an image of the original Royal Exchange in London).
Try the Unclaimed Assets Register (seems to be part of Experian):

Hiya
Thank you ever so much, you are being a great help. You wouldn't happen to have copies of these logo's would you.
Thanks again

See my edited post above.
Sorry, no I have no copies of logos, I was just using the powers of Google!
Always like to help and suggest the Unclaimed Assets Register is probably your best bet. Should find any investments and Life Policies held by your grandfather.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
We have actually tried the Unclaimed Assets Register but to no avail. We actually know it was a family member who has taken the original policy and think he has been in touch with the insurance company and changed the policy holders name!! Therefore all we currently have a minute is this logo which my father can remember......0
