Checking of changes in savings interest rate

It there any site that allows you to put in the savings accounts portfolio that you have and you can check to see what the current rate of interest is. Obviously you can check each account individually but it would be very useful if you could put in a portfolio as you can with shares so you can check them all at once and move money as appropriate

Thanks

David

If I were you I'd patent the idea in several countries, employ some internet marketing and design experts and set about attracting some advertisers.

Sounds like a grand idea. But who gets paid for doing all the work keeping details up to date? In practice, a lot of MSE posters go to emoneyfacts (as it gets updated for changes through the day)

Another good source used to be the FSA tables - which can't be as up to the minute but are intended to broadly meet the needs of savers to find best rates

Assuming you just want to check any changes to the rates of the accounts you already hold - why not bookmark/favorite the 'current rates' pages of the ones you already bank with?

Not really that hard, is it?
How many savings accounts do you have? Hundreds?

I like the idea. It could show your existing accounts and based on the amount saved and the type of account it would show a link alongside for the best alternative.

The web site could fund itself from the refferal links to alternative accounts, and the users would not have to keep trawling through tables of interest rates to make sure they were still getting the best rates.

    Great business idea. Any takers?
