in Credit cards
Hi, I'm new to this so please be gentle.
I would like some advice please.
At the moment I have a Tesco credit card which I like as I earn clubcard points and i shop there a lot.
Being Christmas I have overspent on this and would like to swap it to a 0% interest card just until the balance has been paid off. I normally pay balance off in full.
Is is possible to do this and keep my tesco card as I don't want to stop having this?
Which would the best way to do this?
Also the card is in my name, could my husband apply for a tesco card in his name and then transfer my balance onto his card and use his 0% interest rate.
any advice would be greatly appreciate.
thanks
melanie

Apply for a card which offers 0% on balance transfers. Try and find one without a balance transfer fee. Unless the card also has 0% on purchases as well, do not make any purchases with it - continue to use your Tesco card for your purchases.melly_g wrote:Which would the best way to do this?
No, you cannot transfer balances from the same card provider so, as RBS run the Tesco card, do not apply for RBS/NatWest/Ulster Bank/Lombard Direct/Mint cards.
