That is a good deal  I have just bought 3 blueberries. Still I think 5 bushes might have been a bit too much for me, they need quite a big pot each to do well.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

    That normally happens to me.

I guess if you had a friend who wanted some you could spilt the cost.

I've ordered bulbs from J Parker before and they were very good, but just as a word of warning - you might want to check what size/age the plants are. If you don't mind waiting for them to grow it's really a very good deal. When I had a shrub from them before (admittedly it was a freebie with a larger order) it was only tiny - a 9 or 10 cm pot, I think. Of course, fruit bushes are a longer term investment and worth waiting for, I just thought I'd mention it so you weren't disappointed.

Yes, i know what you mean. When i asked them this morning they said 8 - 10 inches which i didn't think was that bad for 5 bushes.

I had one those moment where you wish you'd bought more becauce they are sold out when you go back. As a mothers day present i got a set of three bushes for my MIL (two years ago) they were about the same size as above.
She had fruit on them that summer and now they are almost a metre high.

I think this is like you said an investment, i couldn't afford to buy the big bushes.

    you like rhubarb then.

Do you not know anyone who may be splitting there's, although if your anything like me i sometimes can't wait. 9 plants would be a lot i picked up a crown for £3.99 and that was massive in two years, but then the chickens arrived and it is no more so like you i will have to get some more planted at the the allotment.

If i lived nearer i had some off you.
    Kind Regards

ds's and I LOVE rhubarb! I did ask FIL if we could split an established rhubarb plant and if I could have back one of the others (he has the 3 I grew from seed 2-3 years ago - long story).. but not happened :(

9 is a lot... I would happily do a joint order and split the cost if anyone near me was interested... otherwise I will just have to give loads away!!
