All the banks are now required to comply with anti-money laundering legislation, this includes checking client's details and updating records, and generally asking more questions about transations. However, when you actually want the bank to update their records or correct a mistake on your address or whatever, then you'll probably have to ask them several times before it actually happens...0

Yes its quite concerning to know that my daughter told them she had moved and gave them her new address in the branch near her new accom but since then they have sent several letters to my address. It seems they have totally ignored the info she gave them. I'm her mum and can pass them onto her safely but if she had been living anywhere else before moving there the letters from the bank could have been getting into the wrong hands. She has paperless billing but they have sent some statements and letters. If they can't put things right when you go into the branch to inform them what other mistakes are they going to make.Thanx
