SKY - is it a coupler thingy!

I've just moved into a new place and the people who lived there before had Sky installed in the bedroom. The cable is still there but the bit on the end that goes into the TV is missing.
Now I'm confused is it a coupler? Male or Female, such a small thing but confuses me!
