Buy a Super Desktop Great Deal?

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/quad

For £499:00 with £100:00 off this seems like a good deal especially as I was looking for a Quad Intel Processors Packard Bell Brand

I really wanted a 22inch or 24inch screen

Any other sugestions better to hold off till after Christmas?

What are the best stores brands to check out?
Is it best to avoid https://www.qvcuk.com monthly mail order offers?

Regards,

Samantha

i cant see in to the future.

would i buy it? nope i like to see whats exactly in my pc's the hard drive and ram make/model are very important to me.
will it work for you as a pc - sure but im sure you can do better and if you want a 22 or 24 inch screen look for a deal that has one :)

any "offers" need to be understood fully and then researched once u know what to look for u know if offers are actually good deals.

i personally wouldnt bother with qvc mailing thing..
    but im like that
The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.

Most electronic items are more expensive in ROI than in the UK, sadly. That said, it's worth noting that VAT is 21% (soon to be 21.5%) in ROI, compared with 17.5% in the UK.

i think its a good deal, i would see if where i work has a business account with pc world if not ask them if you can set one up, and get it a little cheaper.
  • You mean pretend I am a Business would I need a VAT number for that?

Some Irish Business Person called Tony Quinn Health Food Products operates gyms and sells expensive nutritional products imports his products through the Channel Islands (Outside the EU) must be a tax dodge of some sort.

The only way to avoid the VAT be a Vat registered business
    Charity
    Diplomatic Core Embassy
    Buy Wholesale not viable
Buy from United States problem with electricity do USA Dells have International Power Switches in Case you were "moving" to Europe?

Ireland is a real rip off they are puting up electricity charges by another 5% 2nd increase in 1 year even though petrol costs are coming down.
