Hotel website book now & pay later?

Hi
Im looking for hotel websites such as alpha rooms etc that let you book your hotel now and pay the full amount nearer the time as id like to book my hotel now for next year?
Or ones that let you pay a supplement as a cancellation fee if you are unable to go nearer the time.
Many thanks.

have you tried booking direct with hotels? We booked last year for hotel in Majorca direct, paid 10% up front, remainder paid when we checked out. We booked about 13 months in advance and weren't sure if we would be going due to medical reasons with one of the kids, the 10% deposit made it the cheapest option if we had to cancel at late notice, only needed 24 hours notice of cancellation right up to check-in

Whenever I've booked hotel rooms online Ive booked and left my card details with the site, but more often than not then paid for the room when I arrived at the hotel itself. One exception being a popular hotel on a busy weekend when they wanted payment up front.

    Venere let you do this.
We booked rooms for Barcelona a couple of months in advance and did not have to pay until we got there (though exchange rate went south and I would have rathered paying when I booked).
In addition I think we could cancel up until 48hours before at no charge.
    Hope this helps.

Think alpharooms still allow you to add a cancellation option . That said - as mentioned many of the hotels own sites allow booking online , and then charge "resort" with either a small or no canecllation fee if you give a certain amoumnt of notice... where do you want to stay ?

Venere ,or expedia thru quidco, can cancel 48 hours before
  • www.xcapewithus.com is one where you pay a deposit on booking and the balance 8 weeks before travel. www.activehotels.com take your credit card number and you pay the full amount due direct to the hotel on departure. Have used both these companies without any problems.

  • Try medhotels.com and use the 10% discount voucher on this site. They take 10% of the booking and charge rest usually a month before you go.
