tiling a kitchen

Here goes ....right I have already bought thebasic white tiles for my kitch and have seen the border tile I now want to go with it but have a problem, the tiles I have now are 15 x 15 but the border is 20cms now do they have to match up tile under tile or can I just carry on the tiles as they are I aint got a clue but would be so grateful if someone who knows about tiling could tell me what to do? thansk in avance

    Its your kitchen , your tiles . If you are happy with the look .

    But it might not suit everyone.

    usually the borders should match the tile size. but its your kitchen.
    if youre selling up in the next few yrs you might want to get the correct size.
    Get some gorm.

    Your kitchen, do what you want. It is probably true to say that having the same width for both generally looks better. I doubt that it would be a deal breaker if a prospective buyer did not like the arrangement.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.

    Thanks to all who replied am a bit fussy so will change tiles for 20 cms as I am doing the kitch for ourselves and will always be drawn to the fact they are wrong iyswim .Thanks very muchly!
