Is this a good card to use abraod. Not for withdrawing cash but for purchasing things and paying for hotels etc

Quick answer is no, but look at it's terms and conditions and compare them with the info in Martin's article.0

Average - 2.75% on the exchange rate. You can't normally get cash for that, so in that sense it's good.0
