Benefits - how can i find out what i'm entitled to

I have recently taken a (significantly) lower paid job. I want to find out if i can get benefits and if so how much. i don't even know if there is a wage under which you get more benefits. I have some savings (which are going down fast) will that go against me?
We have 3 children so i get the child benefit and that is probably about it.
How do i find out what and how i should be claiming.
Thanks for any help or advice.
