Problems printing with Dell 968 all in one.

Evening all,
Just wondering if anyone can suggest a resolution to a problem with the above printer? I got the printer free from Dell, and only installed it when our HP all in one ran out of ink (waste not, want not!).
Sometimes when I print, all is ok, however, other times it may print a little bit, and I can see the paper coming through the rollers, but it stops there. The display on the printer says printing, but it does nothing, just seems to hang. Occasionsally restarting printer spooler in services fixes this, sometimes I have to turn printer off, then go into services and restart printer spooler, then turn printer on and then restart the printer spooler again to get it to work.
It has got the the stage where its bugging me, so any useful suggestions would be appreciated.

does it have a printer config page u can get at and see the status of the items like belt/toner/fuser etc?The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0
