I am sooooo angry!!!! I had to replace my laptop after it broke and my insurance company told me to get a HP Compaq N6110 as it was closest to my original laptop. My excess was horrendous and it came at a really bad time money wise, but It needed to be replaced so I ordered it from Misco - it arrived on the 21st October . It has been fine but over the last week two of the keys became loose and wouldn't work very well and today one of the keys actually came off and will not go back on at all!
I rang Misco and asked how to return it, they said I had to ring HP, so I rang HP and they said Keyboards were not covered under warranty - so tough basically!!!!!!
I have a useless 8 week old Laptop - I am so upset, frustrated and angry !!!!

Update - Misco advised me to ring HP again, which I did, and I got through to a nice chap called Darren who took pity on me as it's xmas and has processed the repair - it will be collected tomorrow and repaired under warrantee. Thank F for that - why couldn't the first person have done that???? Would have saved me stressing out!0

Its either a Jobs Worh Robot or a caring Service rep, have a guess
which one was the first attendant to your call :rolleyes:0 -
Keyboards were not covered under warranty-Do me a favour! Your contract is with misco.Send it back to misco,And tell them you are going to hire one and send the bill to them.Untill such time as they send you laptop fit for its purpose.Any posts by myself are my opinion ONLY. They should never be taken as correct or factual without confirmation from a legal professional. All information is given without prejudice or liability.0

Nope the problem is with HP they made the darn thing not misco.
As for Misco they only sell them on the behalf of HP. :beer:0 -
I thought if the product was faulty (or breaks within a certain amount of days of purchase) then it was the retailer's responsability to refund/exchange/repair. When that time expires then you have to go to the manufacturer.0

All depends what setup the supplier has with the maker.
Also If its with a time of about 14days which is deemed reasonable then its usually a retailer issue but as seen it has been an unreasonable amount of time then HP would deal with it not Misco as its the build quality and not faulty goods as 14days has passed.
So it comes under the 1year manufacturers warranty as standard if
Misco made the thing then yes its a Misco problem but they dont make PCs.0 -

Wrong!.
Under consumer law, your contract is with the person or company who sold you the goods. Any dispute you may have is with the company who sold you the goods and just a little extra, if you have to send the goods back, under the distance selling regs, they are responsible for the cost of that too. This was quoted on Working Lunch today.0 -

Wrong!
In a reasonable amount of time, May I remind you to read
a post before you post, as the OP had the item for well over a
reasonable amount of time.0
