Just wondering if anyone has used inter active investor - iii.co.uk - for share dealing,&what their experiences are of them?
I seem to be having alot of problems logging on,& then difficulties in contacting them.
I noticed that on ciao.co.uk,they got some really bad reviews (but then so did Selftrade).
Should i continue to persevere with them,or should i try another online broker?
Cheers in advance.

I use iii. When you log on you need to log in once and then log in with your security key (which I have forgotten!). They are fine - good in fact and very easy to use once you are logged in. I need to ring them to get my password again, but to be honest, I don't want to look to see how much money I have lost in recent weeks! Having said that I am thinking I should invest a bit more money whilst the prices are down.
I also use Fidelity and have never had any problems. They are easier to log into.0 -
I use III for my main trading and have nothing but good words to say about them. Sometimes, in very volatile markets, it can be hard to execute a trade but it's very rare. The last time it happened to me was with Xstrata last year in the mining nonsense, and I was able to trade within about 30 seconds of the trade failure. I've had no problems in the current market craze.
Their customer support has been spot on. They answer emails quickly, and they have a great online chat-help system that I've used a couple of times. When £3k vanished out of my account after a trade they fixed it instantly.
They've got good features for automatic trades with all the usual tools - limit orders, trailing stops etc. And they've got one of the best per-trade fees on the market (£10).Mmmm, credit crunch. Tasty.0
