  • Fellap - Have a friend who bought from -http://www.samarajames.com. Great service and great ring - they cannot recommend them highly enough.

They also seem to have independent feedback from customers a la ebay...http://feefo.com/feefo/viewvendor.jsp?logon=www.samarajames.com

Steve...i dont know any technical terms you should look for - sorry! But id definately go on the advice of using a small local jeweller.
My soon to be fiance bought my ring off Ebay....although i chose it! I loved it straight away...its 18ct white gold with a large square cut diamond. It had originally cost £1,275 and i got it for £275 saving £1000! It came with its original receipt, and before i bid on it the seller sent me the link to Goldsmiths jewellers so i could see the ring still on that site etc. Im delighted with it and cant wait to wear it!

I was in a similar boat. After 10 years managed to propose and still make it a surprise! Basically took her away for her birthday to a 5* place in Birmingham and proposed with this ring. We then went around to the Jewllery Quarter and she picked what she wanted. I was thinking of around £1k, but the one she liked and wanted was £400. So it all turned out well :T She has 'treasured' the £30 ring as a keepsake.

Edit. Sorry realised this was an old thread. Never mind though!
