Hi
Am after a bit of advice.
We've currently got a problem with condensation to the point that the wall now has mould growing on it and looks a mess.
I realise a dehumidifier isn't going to completely cure the situation but am sure it will help.
We don't have much of a problem upstairs so its just mainly for downstairs(2 rooms and hallway).
Can anyone recommend one a there are so many.
Thanks

Hi Cath
I had the same problem, I got this one from Argos
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4151319/c_1/1%7Ccat_10197552%7CHeaters+and+coolers%7C10197884/Trail/searchtext%3EDEHUMIDIFIER.htm sorry about the long link. I was suprised how much moisture there was in the house !
Also try to open a window to let the air circulate.
Hope this helps0 -
Did you leave this on overnight and if so did it not need emptying?

I have that one, for a similar mould problem, we keep ours in the dining room and it does keep the mould at a manageable level. We leave it on 24/7, at the recommended setting (it cuts out when correct humidity is reached). Needs emptying around every other day. We've had ours 3 yrs now.
They're not cheap to run, but better than living with serious mould.Anytime;)0 -

I have an ebac dehumidifer i have it switched on 24/7 and the water butt needs emptied every other day.
The model i got has smart control so the dehumidfier switches itself on and off during the day to save electric.
have a look on herehttp://www.ebacdirect.com/0 -
Cath
I leave it on 24/7 on the setting where it sorts itself out ( turns on and off when the humidity is above a certain level ). I only need to empty every 2 or 3 days. Hope this helps.0
