So what do you have to do then Di with the home educating now...??

Do you have a cirriculam to follow... . What do you actually teach??

    Hi Hun

No Curriculum to follow but English and Maths are essential, depending on what he is interesting in for when he leaves school would be important, he loves Science and loves animals, luckily my uncle who is retired helps with the maths, hubby is amazing at Science, reading is important daily, but there is not a "you must" do this or that sort of thing.

I heard from Mencap earlier, they are home visiting next week and going to see what they can do to make sure Daniel is having everything he requires to help him through this.

I may be lucky to have a tutor yet funded, because of my son's med records of the bullying etc and its on police records he may be eligible for this, its going to be looked into as well.;)

How often does your uncle come to teach then Di, is that a few times a week.

I am not too excellent at English myself (as you can tell by the posts!!) although was in the top group and my maths is so so but still could not feel confident teaching it..

I would be frightened at what they were learning from it...lol
