Well done MSE Jenny for bagging your bargains...........although I'm sure if you'd bought a stripey blouse instead of a black top;) ........you would've got more praise and attention.:snow_grin

Looking for marks has always been a money saver for me. I always point out any stains or marks, negotiate a price reduction and then successfully remove the stain/mark when I get the garment home.:D

Even for perfect items, I have been known to ask, "Is that the best price you can do?":xmassmile

  • Well done Jenny, I have to ask but have you signed up on the Peacock's website for a 10% off voucher?

I did, then stupidly forgot it when I last ventured over the bridge to Peacock's and spent £60 icon11.gif

Hope you all enjoy your Christmas party :xmassmile

Good on you Jenny for getting the reductions on your purchases. I always check items over well before buying to see if there is anything I can point out and get a reduction.

Picked up a book the other day that was £12.99 and noticed that a couple of pages had dog ears on them and were bent back, asked if there would be anything off it and they gave me 20% off. :-)

M&S are quite good too, I think they give 20% off.

Have a great time at the Christmas Party. I'm just away to take my wee boy to one, he's got 4 to go to.

Thanks dudettes it's nice to have some proper appreciation! :) I'm always scouting out the faulty clothes with holes in them and getting my long suffering mum to sew them up.

But the big question is, which is better - Peacocks or Primark (or Primani as we like to call it)?

primark is much better than peacocks in my opinion. The only better thing about peacocks is its a lot tidy than the jumble sale they call primark!!!

Well done on getting your bargains dont forget to post a picture of you looking glammed up for the party!! :xmassmile

We don't have a Peacocks or a Primark up here but, I believe we will be getting a new Primark store in place of the Littlewoods which is closing at the end of the year.

  • While we're on the subject of Littlewoods- they are having a great closing down sale- up to 50% off; including their Berketex range. Need to take returns back before Christmas tho!
  • Well Martin's vote must go to Peacocks as that is where he buys his bras from

My 15 year old would vote for Peacocks for the more fashionable stuff but I guess my vote would go to Primark for the everyday clothing.
