As a professional I was wondering whether there are cheaper ways of getting PIA than through a Lloyds of London company. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Loads of insurers offer cover. Speak to a broker.0

Definitely one for a specialist broker. Could be a pretty hairy risk depending on what's being translated.0

When I was still in Australia a few weeks ago, there was a company that popped up for professional indemnity insurance called bizcover (www.bizcover.com.au). It was the first online one, if i recall correctly: i.e. you could get a quote automatically by entering your details, rather than having to even phone up and compare between different insurers and thus get a cheaper price.
I personally haven't used them, so can't endorse the product, but I have a few mates in consulting, IT and accounting who jumped on that bandwagon and said they saved decently.
Not sure if they do international coverage though - may be worth checking it out on the site. Perhaps there are similar companies in the UK too.0
