Does anyone know if Halifax (using a Visa Debit card) charge for foreign currency exchanges?

According to this site, the Halifax card charges 2.75% loading plus £1.50 per transaction when used abroad (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/overseas-card-charges)
If you use it to buy foreign currency in the UK, it does not charge an extra fee (according to the Travel Money Maximiser), unlike some Visa Debit cards.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
