Lakeland - go much further than the extra mile!

I really can't recommend this company http://www.lakeland.co.uk/ highly enough as they go much more than the extra mile for their customers.
I recently bought a mixer from them plus additional attachments, however when it arrived I found that due to problems with my wrists I couldn't manage to use it, I needed the more powerful model, but they didn't stock it.
Now I know that they advertise an unconditional money back guarantee if you ever decide you aren't satisfied with a product, but I didn't expect the speed or efficiency with which they dealt with my query.
I'm well aware that under consumer law, it could be said that I had simply changed my mind and I had no rights to a refund. However I rang their customer service line which is open 24 hours a day and doesn't use rip-off 0870 numbers either:T.
I spoke to Michaela who was extemely kind and understanding - she arranged there and then for a courier to collect it. I didn't even have to pay return postage:j. Furthermore the refund to my credit card was processed on the day I telephoned and I received a letter confirming this.
This is without doubt the best company I have ever dealt with, they still believe that the customer is always right - whereas most companies today seem to believe the opposite to be true.
I have been a customer for many, many years now, both on-line and via their shops in Newcastle and York - but it's only the second time I've had to return anything. The first time was when I ordered a lot of Christmas food goodies and they sent me the order - but twice! I could probably have just said nothing and enjoyed double the Christmas fayre - but because they treat their customers with respect and honesty - it engenders the same in return.
Lakeland deserve a lot more than five stars! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

I agree, Lakeland are brilliant for customer service - and always have been. And also, you can trust the claims they make for products they sell, because they try them all out themselves - unlike some catalogues where the things never do what they claim.0

Surprisingly enough the Bamix blender I ordered was cheaper via Lakeland than it was even on ebay
and I had the knowledge I was dealing with a reputable company. It was the cheapest I could find actually after checking via various shopping sites.
Some items are expensive, but they are often superior quality and more durable. I'm still using klippits (those plastic things for keeping bags and packets closed) I bought twenty years ago and the same is true of some of the dryers for pegging socks - whereas I've bought cheaper but similar products and they've broken an awful lot sooner. I reckon I've saved overall because of their durability.:TSome people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
