BG Click Energy 6
From using the price comparison websites it seems that for me at the moment the British Gas Click Energy 6 http://www.britishgas.co.uk/products-and-services/energy/dual/click-energy.html is my best option. I am currently with E-on who yesterday sent me an email highlighting big price increases.
Has anyone got any comments good or bad for this plan?
Thanks

No experience of the plan, but it works out cheapest for me as well (much to my surprise).
I couldn't find any switching sites that could sign me up online for British Gas, so did it through Quidco - but I don't earn much from it. I've also just had an email from BG stating that for technical reasons, the switch is slightly delayed.Andy

I was on Click 5 for a short while, then moved and have not long signed up for Click 6.
It's like any other plan, just you have to give readings online etc. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
BG have superseded their Click tariff 5 times in 2 years - usually after bumping up the existing one by a huge amount. The 'new' Click tariff is designed to put BG at the top of the comparison sites. Great, I hear you say, I'm assuming they just transfer me to the new, cheaper click tariff? Err, no, you are left on the old, more expensive tariff until you find out (if you ever do!) about the new one and specifically request to be transferred. I know of people who were still on Click 1 until very recently and assumed it was BGs cheapest online tariff! Wrong! BG are now up to Click 6! BG use these people to 'fund' their new, much cheaper Click tariff so they can attract new customers! Shady practice? You decide.
All I'm saying is if you aren't prepared to keep on top of BGs online tariffs have a really good think before committing to them. Or you could end up on a very uncompetitive tariff a year or so down the line.Call me Carmine....

Agree with 1carminestocky. I was on Click Energy 5 and had to ASK to go onto Click Energy 6 (which is an online tariff but very easy to set up). Legally I think their would be issues if you signed up to one tariff and BG decided to move you onto another tariff without getting your permission.0

Absolutely correct. So why don't BG just keep the existing Click energy product? It's not as if Click 6 is, in essence or execution, not exactly the same product as Click 5. Answers on a postcard, please. :rolleyes:Call me Carmine....
