help getting money back from XL

Can anyone help. I booked flights direct with XL using my Barclycard, they are not paying out they said to contact loss adjusters, they in turn have said to contact my credit card company, am going round in circles.

This is my first time on here so sorry if this might be in wrong section for help

Hi Loobysue,

Don't despair - I was in the same boat as yourself, and after three weeks Barclaycard paid out in full!

Have a look here: http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1804 and print out the referral letter (http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/1804/XL%20AIRWAYS%20WEBSITE%20LETTER.pdf).

Get in touch again with Barclaycard, say you want to make a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and ask for a claim form. Fill this in and send it off, along with photocopies of your invoice and/or flight tickets, and the above letter, in the SAE provided. Make sure you write on the form that you are claiming a refund under Section 75.

This is exactly what I did, and after a couple of weeks and a few of follow-up phone calls, I was refunded.
