I have had another long chat with my CAB and have made the call to Lincoln county court to book a bankruptcy appointment. The earliest she can get me in is 18th November so theres a 2 week waiting period, good, it gives me time to cancel direct debits and contact BT and Virgin broadband to cancel the contracts. I had already filled in the Statement of Affairs online and sent a copy to the CAB. We have gone through it with a fine toothed afro comb and im now making the admendments. Also as im on income support I have filled out form EX160 (fee remission) so i can save the £150 court costs, then all i need to pay is the £340 for the OR. One question with that though, do I need to send it anywhere or do I take it to the court on the 18th?

    Steve.

I'm sure you take it to the court on the 18th but some courts operate differently. For example I didn't have to make an appointment it was a walk in service. To put your mind at ease check this site and it will give you the phone number of the court so you can phone and make sure.

Also make sure it is the correct court for your address. The court I had to go to wasn't necessarily the nearest one to me. Better safe than sorry.

Also post your SOA on here. This site is excellent for that sort of thing. We've all done them!

No an SOA shouldn't be more than one page, I'm just talking about your living expenses like this

    Income

    rent/mortgage
    council tax
    gas
    elec
    water
    phone
    groceries
    etc

Additional... I have the 1 child with special needs and i have 1 car
which i use to get to his school once a week at least for courses on autism and parenting.

Groceries came up on this list as £265 because there was no where to put housekeeping on the form.

This is a direct copy of the "common financial statement summary" from the CAB. Oh and what a fab util the calk was! Cheers phil!

Hmm.. see what you mean, well my mortgage payments are £1.500 a month, i owe now £210,000 on the mortgage to settle the debt as ive not paid it for nigh on 22 months. The value of the property is estimated at £150,000 for a quick sale. Hope that helps.
