Good Buy?

My daughter has been offered a computer by a colleague, & is wondering if it's worth getting.
She gave me the following specifications over the phone, read out from the original order confirmation; it's all gobbledegook to me so apologies if i've got it wrong.

Dell, 2 years old, cost £937.
Intel pentium 4 3ghz oct46A
Dimension 4600 P43ghz
integrated audio & nic
256MB DDR 333 dual channel memory
no floppy required
40GB ide power drive
48 x CDRW/DVD combo drive
fibre link power DVD V13
flat screen power monitor
128MB DDR NV101A geforce fx5200
sound card, speakers
data fax internal modem
mouse, enhanced dkeyboard
ms office 2003

He says there's nothing wrong (she trusts him) & says she can have it for £100ish, - he's selling because he's bought a new laptop.
We have absolutely no idea what the value would be for this - sounds fair enough - but is it?
And is there anything else we'd need to ask about it before deciding?

Many thanks for any thoughts.
