Apologies if this is posted on the wrong board, would someone please move it if it is.
I need help!!!! My gorgeous little (not at the moment) 19 month old daughter has removed our sky viewing card and I can't find it anywhere! I have looked everywhere I can possibly think of looking at "Grace height" with no success. She's even had me rummaging through the dustbin trying to find it!
Anyway my DH decided to ring Sky last night and give them some !!!! and bull story that the card is damaged (after waiting on the phone for over 2 hours), first they wanted to charge him £10 to send out a replacement and then they told him to remove and reinsert the card so that they could go through the system with him to try and fix the fault! So we are currently back to square one and turning the house upside down and hoping that the card will turn up.
Has anyone got any bright ideas? Do I keep looking for the card or do we try and call Sky again and just come clean? I've been looking since Tuesday. Kids eh, don't you just love 'em!!! :snow_grin

My children at that age loved shoving things in the video recorder

My little'un done that once(it was actually about 5 years ago)and to this day we have never found it.My house is quite tidy so where it went I'll never know.We had to bite the bullet and pay the tenner for the new card.0

It had also happened to us. We found it eventually, my daughter had slid the card under the Sky box.Never buy a stupid dwarf -
Its not big and its not clever.0 -
Don't know where it's gone! All I know is that it's in the house. If it hasn't turned up by tomorrow I think we will have to pay for a new one, just don't fancy having to wait another 2 hours plus to get through to Sky.
Thanks guys.
The world would be a sad place to live with no chocolate!

when you phone sky tell them that you are skint and cannot afford to pay for a new card - ask to be put through to their cancellations dept as you want to cancel your account as a result of whats happened. I guarantee that they will offer to send you one for nothing
dont pay for it0 -
Good idea, tell them you cant afford the £10 at the moment and in that case you might as well not have Sky. They might even offer you your package cheaper.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

as said above, my daughter ha slid ours under the tv, under the digbox, under the tv cabinet, and into the video
i would check all around the digbox, as at that age, they prob wouldnt have thought to take it elsewhere, just tried to post it back into any slot they could find around the tv area
you can get a guard to put over the card to stop them removing it - think its called cellotape, lol
