high credit line

Hi. I started establishing my credit history about 18 months ago and now my score is anywhere between 700 and 745, which is considered excellent. I have a credit line of 8000$ in one of the banks and 2000$ from another institution. In addition to that secured credit card (I keep it open to show the history) - 300$.

I would like to apply for another credit card in about a month or so and my aim is to obtain the highest credit line possible (10000$ for example or maybe even more, because I am going to need some money and I do not want use the whole 8000 on the other card not to damage my ratings).

What would be the best thing to do for me. How can I find out what credit limit can I get and what does this decision depend on? I was trying to find something about it but I couldn't. I do not want apply for too many credit card either. I just want apply for one, get it and have that high limit.

Thanks in advance for any information you can offer
