This is my neck of the woods. This really wasn't a proper auction per se (i.e. no repos). It was a poor attempt by the EA to try and drum up business. I have heard rumours that Peter Alan (the EA) may be on their last legs.

If you want a better insight into property auctions in S. Wales, have a look at this website:
    http://www.eigroup.co.uk/auctioneers/templates/guides.asp?a=147&sl=1&c=see
Much more realistically priced (52% sold in last auction), with many obviously being repos.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

I don't understand what you mean. I work for a property auction company, we deal with no reposessions. We certainly do 'proper' auctions.
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

It's just the way you said it wasn't a proper auction (ie no repos). You made it sound like if there are no repos being sold then it isn't a proper auction

Well I figured you must do since you posted in the thread, there was no need for that at all.

Sadly, the lying spammer probably will be back, under a different username. The current crash is breeding a new generation of con artists seeking to profit from the gullible and vulnerable.

What did he spam about? He only had 2 posts the one I quoted and another that I didn't read

This i quite revealing. The Eigroup auction I found to be quite a surprise. I do work in Wales and did in fact seriously think about relocating there. I found a village I really liked with good road links. Having watched the property explosion there, it was prety late coming, I held off. From what that auction is showing the properties there seem to be tanking rapidly.

Let me try again. Prices pumped up, not just by the Welsh, but by English so desperate to get into property that they bought anything they could afford, including stuff hundreds of miles away. A second home in Wales - maybe a nice idea, but I can't see that market holding the prices up. Retirement - well maybe, but it is wet, and cold - not really south coast for example.

The main housing market is working people. Jobs in Wales? Future in Wales? They don't even have oil. Should be some real bargains in a couple of years, or rather than bargains I think realistically priced housing might be better.

You could get a job on Doctor Who or Torchwood if you worked in tv. I'm always trying to convince my husband to send them his cv. We could live like kings in Cardiff!
