Is anybody running CA Internet Security Suite 2009 on Vista ?
I am having no end of trouble trying to get it to run, keeps advising that the Firewall program has stopped working etc.
CA online help advises to phone support and pay £10.00 for the call.
Previous 2008 suite ran without any problems.
It is running ok on 2 x XP pc's and is supposedly compatible with Vista.

Unsure, but I've read that the 2008 version disabled a machine. Gives food for thought.
Is there no online chat where you can contact their support team?My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -
Sorry, I should have said that the "Online chat" support advised a call to the chargable line.
Having just renewed the annual subscription I do not want to pay out even more.
I have never had any problems with CA in the 5 or 6 years that I have been using it and have also never had any major virus / trojan infection, which is why I renewed it again.
I also have a McAfee subscription from O2, so might give that a go on the Vista laptop instead.0 -
Hmm, is the online service technical help, or just customer services?
If it is technical, put your foot down with them and ask them to sort it.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -
Looks like CA have lost a customer now, I am using the O2 provided McAfee suite on 3 PCs and have just purchased Kaspersky (3 licence) for the other machines.
A full refund is on its way from CA.0
